The State Administration of Railway Transport of Ukraine (UkrZaliznytsya) was founded in 1991 following the independence of Ukraine. Ukraine includes six railways – Pridneprovskaya, Odesskaya, Yuzhnaya, Yugo-Zapadnaya, Lvovskaya, and Donetskaya. The total length of mainline tracks is over 22,000 km. The Ukrainian Railways carry cargo and passengers both domestically and internationally, and offer then good tariffs.
