Klaipeda Port – reliable port! Deep-water. The draught of the entrance channel is 15 meters. The draught of the port navigation channel is 13-14,5 meters. Therefore, the port can accept large-tonnage vessels: dry-cargo vessels up to 70,000 DWT, and tankers up to 100,000 DWT. Ice-free. An ice-free port that does not freeze up even during very cold winters guarantees smooth traffic and uninterrupted stevedoring operations. As the port of Klaip?da is situated at the junction of three international transport corridors, it is a bridge between the Commonwealth of Independent States and the countries of the Asian region on the one hand, and the European Union and other markets on the other. Among the ports of the Baltic States, it is situated closest to the ports of North Europe and Southern Scandinavia, as well as to the approaches to the Baltic Sea.
